East Texas Oil Company photo album, 1932-1940.

The photo album contains 135 photographs of oil related scenes such as derricks, leases, batteries, tanks, gas treaters, and the men who work with them. The photographs were taken primarily in East Texas (Overton, Gladewater), but there are some shots from West Texas (Odessa), New Mexico and California. Included with the photo album are eleven loose photographs of mostly unidentified persons, but which include one photograph each of James Shelby Wallace, Jr., Clarence B. Saviers, A.T. Saviers, the Heasley State Lease, N.M., and the Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line Company. The dated photographs range from 1932 to 1940, with the undated appearing to be from the same time period. The loose photographs of unidentified persons appear to be from the turn of the century.
